How The  Da Vinci® Robot Works

During a da Vinci robotic surgery, the surgeon is seated at a computer screen a few feet away from the patient. The surgeon sees an actual image of the surgical site while operating in real time, through tiny incisions, using   specialized instruments.

The da Vinci® puts a surgeon’s hands at the controls of a state-of-the-art robotic platform, allowing them to operate while viewing a high definition 3-D image of the surgical area, with 10 times the visualization of the human eye.
